Proud to support KiTAiD
Now in it's 15th year, KiTAiD has kitted out more than 200,000 underprivileged children and youths from all corners of the globe.
The charity, founded by Derrick Williams MBE, recycles your once loved football kit and distributes to underpriviledged children and adults in some of the World's poorest countries.
Derrick visited Tanzania on a WaterAid supporters' trip in 1998, and being a mad footie fan, was amazed at the reception he received from children and adults in remote villages just because he wearing his favourite football shirt.
After two weeks in Tanzania, a flame was lit in Derrick's heart and he was on a mission to provide kit and equipment to the bare-footed children playing with footballs made of tied string and plastic bags. Fifteen years on, KiTAiD has Graham Taylor OBE as its Patron, lots of volunteers and to date we've sent out 200,000 kits to children and adults in 40 different countries across the world.
KiTAiD is closely associated with Affinity Water, where Derrick is a senior manager, and Switch have been involved in supporting KiTAiD through our relationship originally with Three Valleys Water, then Veolia Water Central and now Affinity Water since 2008. We're proud to be able to support such a worthy cause and extremely happy to have finally been given the chance to provide KiTAiD with its own website. Keep up the good work!
